2* skill level in chosen craft and the ability to paddle 6.26 miles (10.04km) at a constant speed of 3mph (4.8km/h).
At a distance of 6.26 miles (10.04 km), with 2 portages (Marlow & Cookham), this is a gentle but scenic paddle along the Thames from Bisham to Maidenhead, taking just over 3 hours (including stops).
A packed lunch will be needed as we stop approximately 2/3rd’s of the way along the route at Cliveden Reach (Cliveden meaning valley among cliffs).
Cliveden Reach, according to the National Trust, “is renowned as one of the prettiest spots on the Thames”, and described by Jerome K. Jerome in Chapter 12 of Three Men in a Boat (1889), as “unbroken loveliness this is, perhaps, the sweetest stretch of all the river…”

Shuttle will run at 10:00 from Bisham to Maidenhead; 5.8 miles each way and a return journey time of approx. 40 mins.
|Potential Cost||Car parking at Boulters is charged at £1 per car for a full day.|
|Equipment needed||Canoe / Kayak, appropriate paddles, Buoyancy Aid, suitable clothing appropriate to the days weather conditions.
