About us

“It’s not the building that makes it successful but the people in it “

Clive Williams OBE, Chairman of the Charity.

The Adventure Dolphin (Pangbourne) Charity is registered as a CIO (Community Incorporated Organisation) CCRN: 1156978.

Our primary focus is to offer opportunities in the outdoors to young people and adults across the area through a series of development courses and through our club membership.

We are fully recognised by Canoe England as an accredited canoe club and we have been awarded the Club Mark Gold Status.

Our greatest assets are our volunteer leaders and coaches who are qualified under various national governing bodies to instruct/coach and lead hazardous activities. They have been checked through the Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS) and hold a current first aid certificate. They are highly qualified, motivated volunteers whose commitment and support enables us to provide such a varied programme.

We use the facilities of the West Berkshire Activity Team and benefit from the use of their well maintained outdoor equipment, enabling us to offer a broad spectrum of activities both locally and further afield.

Pangbourne Canoe Club is the competitive arm of the Charity and gives members the opportunity to train regularly and compete locally, regionally and nationally.

The training team enable potential leaders to gain a range of qualifications, whether preparing to become an outdoor activity leader or wanting to take the next step on their long-term development pathway.

We are working in Partnership with the Activity Team West Berkshire.
