Details of trip.
The young people will be walking along their planned route to their camp site at Rushall Farm and then to the finish point.
They will carry all their own kit and food and will be check pointed by the staff team along the route and especially if route takes them across busy roads.
The young people will need to bring their own personal kit including waterproofs and comfortable shoes, a change of clothing, any medication and a charged mobile phone – they may only use this to contact the staff team if they are going to be late or if there is an emergency.
They will also need a sleeping mat, sleeping bag and torch and a first aid kit, plate, mug, bowl, cutlery.
Each group will need to bring their own food. They will need a packed lunch, evening meal, breakfast, and lunch for day 2. They may need snacks.
Each group will need to carry tents and cook on a camp stove (trangias). They also need to be able to clean the cooking stoves
All kit should be carried in a rucksack.
Tents, rucksacks and trangias can be hired from the Adventure store via an online equipment booking form, but we are unable to supply the fuel for the stoves. This is in the form of self sealing gas canisters available from Cotswold Outdoors or Go Outdoors. The smaller canister should hold enough gas.
The campsite has toilets and drinking water.
